ROOFTOP SEASON

Rooftop season is back, New York.

Celebrate a never-ending summer with a few of Manolo’s favorite sky-scraping spots.

OVERSTORY

Located on the 64th floor of 70 Pine Street, Overstory is a contemporary cocktail bar in New York City’s Financial District. The space is surrounded by a wraparound terrace with 360-degree views of the New York City skyline.

Expect a sultry and intimate interior, with pink hues and nods to design elements true to the 70s. The cocktail list is meticulously crafted by a team of mixologists so good even the finest spirits snob will be impressed.

What to Wear

Though the vibe is very much 70s hip, expect a crowd of young sleek, authentic New Yorkers. In true NYC fashion, an all-black ensemble will never let you down. A pleated, well-proportioned trouser and slim-fitting T-shirt gives off an effortless feel.

LE VAUX AT FOUQUET’S

Located atop the eight-story hotel at Fouquet’s New York, Le Vaux is a sprawling rooftop space inspired by the French gardens of Vaux-Le-Vicomte and Versailles. Designed by Martin Brudnizki, Le Vaux continues the property's signature Art-Deco aesthetic with an unmistakably French palette of lavender-green hues and furnishings, instantly transporting guests to a Parisian garden.

The space is currently open to members and hotel guests only, but we’ve heard charm and a great outfit will take you a long way…

What to Wear

Le Vaux is a beautiful and serene spot perfect for an early afternoon beverage and enjoying New York’s sunny days. Throw on a pair of relaxed linen trousers with a worn-in shirt and some classic trainers. A round of Aperol spritz’s for the table and you’re golden.

ELECTRIC LEMON

Perched on the 24th floor of the Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards, Electric Lemon’s sleek, expansive dining room and serene al fresco terrace offer unmatched views of the new Hudson Yards and Midtown at large. Their clean, veggie-forward menu is made possible by local farmers and growers passionate about good food.

What to Wear

At Electric Lemon, views of skyscrapers and the bustling city below you appear endless - hues of blues, grays, and greens as far as the eye can see. If New York could dress, what would it wear? A double-breasted steel blue linen suit with a perfect white t-shirt and olive green loafers…probably.

Embrace the fact that it’s summer and you’re on a rooftop by introducing playful accessories like beaded bracelets and a modern frame.

THE GARDEN TERRACE AT AMAN

Welcoming year-round dining, the Garden Terrace - with its retractable glass roof, firepits and water features - offers sophisticated light meals and original cocktails served in a convivial atmosphere. A corner bar adds to the allure, with spectacular views overlooking the iconic crossroads of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street.

What to Wear

Keep things light and playful with an off-white pinstripe suit and light blue linen shirt - with an open collar, of course. Staying minimalistic with the accessories will let the suit speak for itself.
