BESPOKE EXPERIENCE

the

Step 1

Consultation

During your first visit, we’ll discuss your needs and preferences while we sort through our offering of fabrics from world-renowned mills. We’ll take your measurements, and start work on your next favorite garment.

Step 2

Basted Try-On Fitting

Approximately 4 weeks after your consultation, we’ll have you try on a rough draft — your pattern made in a substitute fabric. This allows us to make any necessary adjustments before we begin cutting into the fabric you selected at your consultation.

Step 3

Slip-On Fitting

By week 8 or 9, your final garment will be 90% complete and ready for your second fitting. Here, we inspect the effect of the adjustments made in the previous step. If any final tweaks are needed, we will take care of them for you before your final fitting.

Step 4

Final Fitting

About 1-2 weeks later, the garment will be ready for a final look. What started as a dream is now a reality—the patient combination of time and precision has paid off!

Your first commission is always the longest; once your personal pattern is established, future orders can be completed in 4-5 weeks.

As we take time with the client to admire their finished wares, ideas for their next sartorial endeavor may begin to take shape.

We aim to deliver the perfect garment according to your measurements at your initial consultation. Manolo Costa New York is not responsible for accommodating unforeseen or significant changes in body shape or size during the course of a commission.

Once a garment is agreed by both client and atelier to have achieved a proper fit, any subsequent alterations will be charged separately and are not included in the bespoke program.

For storage purposes, once an order is complete, we cannot hold garments in our atelier for more than three weeks. For this reason, we keep all of our clients’ shipping addresses on file.
